"Pynchon in Rome" is a conference hosted by the Dipartimento di Studi europei, americani e inter-culturali of the Sapienza University of Rome. Though it is not the first Pynchon conference held in Rome (there was another in 1998, "Pinchin' Thomas Pynchon"), it is the first official International Pynchon Week to take place in the capital of Italy.
